Dear diary, (Entry 4)
It’s been about two weeks, and I haven’t collected much information about Gatsby. I have been attending every party and I was lucky if I even caught a glimpse of him. I’m getting really nervous because rumors are stirring that he won’t be throwing parties anymore. Some say it’s because of this mystery woman, called Maisy or Daisy whatever. But I’m pretty sure it’s a lie because all the women who attend his parties are vain and hopeless. I guess I’ll never end up with my prince charming because I was so sure that Gatsby could be the one. I just hope I wasn’t the reason for his disappearance. Maybe I came off as too creepy or overpowering… oh well, now I can find someone from East Egg.

Dear Diary, (entry 2)
After a week of researching, I now know where he lives. It was not easy
finding out, but it was worth it. He supposedly throws a big party every
weekend where everyone attends to meet people and have a good time. Since today
is Friday, I have less than 24 hours to get ready for the big party. I’m so
nervous to see him tomorrow!
Today
was a very eventful day because I came across a fine-looking, dapper gentleman
named Jay Gatsby. The day started when I
went to a café for lunch in New York. The café had cream colored drapes and
every table was decorated with lit lavender candles. As I was drinking tea with
crumpets, I locked eyes with a man coming through the revolving doors. To be
honest, his good looks almost made me choke on my hot tea. As we exchanged eye
contact, he shot a friendly smile at me, but I looked away because I couldn’t
handle his charm! All throughout the lunch, I couldn’t help but to sneak quick
glances at him as he was sipping his coffee and reading the newspaper. He had
this mysterious charm that attracted me to him. After I finished my lunch, I
asked the bartender what his name was and if she knew anything about him.
Luckily, she knew his name, Gatsby, and quite a bit about him. She said “he is
quite the sensation in West Egg Village, and apparently was a German Spy and had
even killed a man.” I was not expecting to hear that he killed a man, but I don’t
care, love overpowers everything. And plus, I like men who have fascinating
pasts because it keeps the relationship alive. Although I didn’t get a chance
to meet him, I’ll make sure that it happens because nothing stops me from
getting what I want.
